{"id":1462,"date":"2018-09-14T13:54:37","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T12:54:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jollydeck.com\/academy\/?page_id=1462"},"modified":"2024-03-06T08:38:53","modified_gmt":"2024-03-06T08:38:53","slug":"how-do-i-deactivate-or-delete-user","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.jollydeck.com\/academy\/help-centre\/managing-users\/how-do-i-deactivate-or-delete-user\/","title":{"rendered":"How do I deactivate and\/or delete a user?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>When you deactivate a user, they will no longer be able to access their JollyDeck account and their activity will be removed from overall statistics and performance analytics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 3 deactivation options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Deactivate user<\/strong> \u2013 deactivates the user without deleting user data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deactivate user and mark as absent<\/strong> \u2013 used for temporary deactivations (e.g. employees on maternity leave)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deactivate and delete<\/strong> \u2013 deactivates and, after 12 months, delete all user data<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deactivate users manually<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter the person\u2019s <strong>User profile<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>User status<\/strong>&nbsp;section, click on&nbsp;<strong>show deactivation options<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized is-style-default\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"544\" height=\"712\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jollydeck.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Users-12.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5635\" style=\"width:373px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jollydeck.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Users-12.png 544w, https:\/\/www.jollydeck.com\/academy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Users-12-214x280.png 214w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 544px) 100vw, 544px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>3.
